Crypto companies have massive budgets for advertising this year, but experts in the industry have differing assessments about cryptocurrency marketing.
Everywhere advertisements are in abundance from commercials on television displaying every fifteen minutes to billboards placed on the road strips. The main internet-based brands such as Amazon which ranked as the biggest advertiser in the US in 2020 are also displaying advertisements messages today. American Express which is a payment and telecommunication giant is also listed as one of the largest advertisers in America. These companies are regularly spending billions of dollars each year for marketing messages aiming to remind, inform and persuade customers about the offered products and services.
Some advertising experts think that advertising will be dominated by cryptocurrency companies in 2022 and coming years, while dot-com advertisements and commercials from social media continue to overwhelm the consumers.
DiGo marketing agency in New York, Creative chief and founder, Mark DiMassimo told the news media that he believes crypto-centric ads will make the social media and dot-com appearance look small due to the rise of crypto assets integration and Web3 with a digital ecosystem which is known as Metaverse.
He further said that it is not a classic customer language but in every startup that he worked with or job offerings on LinkedIn, he noticed mention of Web3 and Metaverse and Crypto is central to all of it. Hence, he believes it will be a greater ad boom compared to the dot-com and social media commercials.
He also stated that the popularity of Crypto is also increased due to the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) rise, which in return has supported the cryptocurrency companies to have bigger advertising budgets. Many of the early stage adopter has focused on Reddit advertising, Discord, word of mouth market, and other social media channels. We have been able to achieve the next level, which we are displaying through our advertising and marketing techniques.
DiMassimo has also pointed that out during Super Bowl 2022 highlights crypto commercials were displaying the idea of the advertising world will be dominated by blockchain companies in the future.
